Bhutan Visa:

Your visa must be processed by a licensed Bhutanese tour operator as it will be verified by the Tourism council of Bhutan (TCB) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • You have to provide your passport copy, proof of occupation and address to your respective tour operator who will process your visa online directly when the full portion of your tour payment is wire transferred and deposited in the TCB account along with a visa fee of USD 40 apart from the fee mentioned above to Tourism Council of Bhutan.
  • Then your visa approval letter will be sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs which takes 72 hours to process the visa.
  • And after the approval, you will be provided with a visa clearance letter which has to be shown at the port of entry. Then the visa will be stamped on your passport.
  • Your visa will be provided as per your exact number of days in Bhutan and if you want to extend your stay, you can ask you tour operator to do so with extra tariff.

Flights to Bhutan:

Bhutan does not have any direct flights from USA, Canada and European nations. In the event that you wish to venture out to Bhutan from USA, Canada or any European countries, you need to travel to Delhi/Kolkotta in India or Kathmandu in Nepal or Singapore or Bangkok to interface your trip into Bhutan.

Day 01: ARRIVAL PARO – THIMPHU

As we land at the Paro air terminal, we will be received by our guide and will provide us with all the important and necessary assistance to finish all the immigration and customs formalities.

After leaving the terminal, we will head to Thimphu. On the way visit Tamchog Lhakhang across the river and head towards thimphu.

After lunch your tour begins with visit to largest Standing Buudha Statue over looking thimpohu valley. You can see many locals here for puja. After the sights you shall visit the Thimphu twon. Thimphu is capital city of Bhutan with just over 50000 population.

The day begins with visit to Takin Preservation centre. Takin is the national animal of Bhutan and it is well preserved in Motithang zoo. After that hike the Takin trail starting from zoo to Motithang Children park. The hike is about 30 minutes. Visit the 13th Arts and craft School(zorig Chusum) where you witness the student working on their skills in making Bhutanese paintings, Silver smith and craftmanship. Than visit the folk Heritage Museam.

After lunch visit the simply Bhutan museam where you will be welcomed by group of gilrs wearing traditional attire. You will be showed around showcasing the daily life of Bhutanse people. You can also get the opportunity to shoot archery the national game of Bhutan.In the evening visit trashichhodzong the seat of Royal beautifully lighted. Dinner and over night at Hotel.

Day 3: Thimphu To punakha:

Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan. The climatic condition of Punakha is Hot during summer and and warm during winter. It is the winter residence of head of the religious body Je Khenpo of Bhutan. On the way you can stop at Dochula pass that gives you the 360 degree view of Himalayas. As you drive further down visit Chimi Lhakhang built by devine madman. The guide will give you the full story of how the monastery was built. As you go further visit Punakha Dzong the second largest Dzong in Bhutan. Dinner and over night at Hotel.

After early breakfast drive to Phobjikha one of the beautifull valley in central Bhutan. It is a day excursion tour. Visit the Gangtey Monastery the important monastery for Nyingmapa Followers of Bhudhism. After the visit nature trail hike starts from the monastery towards the breeding centre of Black Necked Crane one of the endangered bird in Bhutan.

Visit the Crane center and return back to Punakha.

Day 05: Phobjikha to Paro

After breakfast from Hotel drive towards Paro. In paro Visit Drugyel Dzong also called the victory dzong. The dzong was very important for Paro village in olden days as this fortress use to protect the people from frequent Tibetan invasion. While returning visit Kyichu Monastery the oldest monastery in Bhutan built in 6th century. Dinner and over night at Hotel Six Sense.

The highlight of Bhutan Tour is 8th century Tiger Nest temple Hike in Paro District. This is beautifull monastery clinging by rock edge 900m above paro valley. The hike takes 3 hours to reach monastery and 2 hours while returning back to the base. Upon completion of the Hike visit Paro Dzong the fortress which use to protect Parop people from the Tibetan invasion.

It is believed that Guru Padmashambhaba who flew from Tibet on a tigress meditated in this cave in 8th century. The temple is very secret for Bhutanese. After the hike visit the Paro Rinpong Dzong another beautifull structure that you see when you land at Paro. The leisure walk takes you towards wooden bridge after the dzong. In the evening we will take you for Hot stone bath. Dinner and over night at Hotel Six Sense.
