This tour is short and can be flexible.We specialize all our tour depending on the clients recommendation and customize itineraries according to our guest’s choice of date, time and place so that they can spend more time in the places doing the activities that they are interested in. This tour can be booked all year around.

Accommodation:

Throughout the trip, you’ll be provided with best first class 3 Star Hotels & Accommodations selected by the Tourism Council of Bhutan for their exceptional quality service, location and of course, food. You can also upgrade Hotel to 5 star if you don’t like the 3 star Hotel upon paying extra cost.

Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek cost during Peak Seasons. (March, April, May, September,October and November)

Tourists travelling Bhutan in a group of two (2) persons or less shall be subject to a surcharge, in addition to the minimum daily package rates. (That is $225 – $250 per day, per person)

Surcharges are as follows:

  • Single individual – US$ 40 per night.
  • Group of 2 persons only – US$ 30 per person per night.

The surcharge will not be applicable to representatives of foreign travel agents on business study or promotional visit duly approved and cleared by TCB.

Note: In a group of three persons, if one member is a child of 5 years and below, the group shall be treated as a FIT group of two persons and surcharge will be applicable.

1 Pax – $835 Per Person: For 3 Nights Bhutan tour. $40 surcharge per night + $225 per night

2 Pax – $805 Per Person: For 3 Nights Bhutan tour. $30 surcharge per night + $225 per night

Above 3 Pax below 16 Pax – $715: For 3 Nights Bhutan tour. No surcharges applicable. $225 per night per person

16 Pax and more : For 3 Nights Bhutan tour. No surcharges applicable. If the group has more than 16 people, 1 individual gets FOC. Which is divided among the group.

16 Pax and more : For 3 Nights Bhutan tour. No surcharges applicable. If the group has more than 16 people, 1 individual gets FOC. Which is divided among the group.

Discount Policies:

  • A GROUP SIZE DISCOUNT of 50% on minimum daily package shall be given to one person in a group of 11 people. 100% discount shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 16 persons.
  • A 50% DURATION DISCOUNT on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FEE shall be provided after the 8th night and 100% discount on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FEE shall be provided after 14th night.
  • 100% SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FEE FREE ZONE DISCOUNT shall be provided on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FEE on first and/or last night for groups with night halt in Phuntsholing, Sarpang and Samdrup Jongkhar on arrival and/or departure

Dagala Thousand Treks Visa:

Your visa must be processed by a licensed Bhutanese tour operator as it will be verified by the Tourism council of Bhutan (TCB) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • You have to provide your passport copy, proof of occupation and address to your respective tour operator who will process your visa online directly when the full portion of your tour payment is wire transferred and deposited in the TCB account along with a visa fee of USD 40 apart from the fee mentioned above to Tourism Council of Bhutan.
  • Then your visa approval letter will be sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs which takes 72 hours to process the visa.
  • And after the approval, you will be provided with a visa clearance letter which has to be shown at the port of entry. Then the visa will be stamped on your passport.
  • Your visa will be provided as per your exact number of days in Bhutan and if you want to extend your stay, you can ask you tour operator to do so with extra tariff.

Flights to Bhutan:

Bhutan does not have any direct flights from USA, Canada and European nations. In the event that you wish to venture out to Bhutan from USA, Canada or any European countries, you need to travel to Delhi/Kolkotta in India or Kathmandu in Nepal or Singapore or Bangkok to interface your trip into Bhutan.

Itinerary

Day 01. Arrive Paro from Kathmandu/Bangkok/Delhi

You will be received by guide from ETH Tours and drive to thimphu. Visit largest standing Bhudha overlooking thimphu valley. Acclamitasation at Thimphu.

Day 02. Thimphu Tour

Your day begins in capital of Bhutan by visiting the ancient fortress Tashichhodzong which is now the Office of King. The grand majestic architecture of Dzongs is mesmerizing. Aftrenoon visit the folk heritage museam. Dinner and over night at Hotel.

Day 03. Trek Begins Khoma – Geynikha

(14 Km, 4hrs), Walk through terraced Paddy fields and coniferous forests to the settlement of Geynikha (2950 meters)a small village which also is the hub for Sangay Shamu(mushroom). The route then descends to a chorten that marks a camping place along side a stream at 2800 meters.

Day 04. Geynikha - Gur

(5Km, 4hrs.), Crossing a suspension bridge, the trail heads west for a while, then climbs steeply towards the south to a rock platform and a crest at 3200 meters. A further walk of about two hours leads to a camp in a forest clearing at 3350 meters. Camping at Tent.

Day 05. Gur – Labatamba

(12 Km, 5hrs.), Cross the pass at 4240 meters for a view of Spectacular Dagala village. Pass though several herders camps enroute to the foot of the broad Labatamba valley at 4300 meters near Utso Lake, where plenty of Golden Trout flourish. There are so many lakes in the vicinity which gives the name of this Trek as Thousand Lake. Camp near the lake.

Day 06. Labatamba – Panka

(8 Km, 4 hrs.), The trail climbs along the western side of the lake to saddle at 4500 meters, where there are good mountain views. From the pass there is a steep descent to another lake at 4350 meters. A short distance beyond the lake leads to the valley and then to Panka at 4000 meters.

Day 07. Panka – Talakha

(8 km, 4 hrs), The route leads north crossing a pass at 4000 meters, then climbs along the side of the ridge to a crest at 4270 meters. From here there is a view of the Dagala Mountain range and a view of Thimphu, far to the North. It is then a long descent through forests to the Goemba and village of Talakha (3083 meters).

Day 08. Talakha – Simtokha

(3 Km, 3 Hrs), Walk downhill on a steep trail to Simtokha from where the Vehicle will pick you up and drive to Thimphu. After lunch, sightseeing in Thimphu includes: the National Library, which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts followed by visit to Painting School, famous for carving and free hand art and National Institute of Traditional medicine. After lunch visit the Simtokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong in Bhutan built in 1627 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, which now houses a School and then visit National Memorial Chorten, a monument dedicated to the Third King of Bhutan. His Late Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The inside paintings and statues provide a very rare insight into Buddhist Philosophy. Then visit Handicrafts Emporium to see the exquisite artistry of traditional crafts and textiles. Visit to TashichhoDzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion), built in 1641 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and reconstructed in 1961 by the Late King, His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wang chuck, who is regarded as Father of Modern Bhutan. Evening free for shopping and leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 09. Thimphu – Punakha – Wangdi

(72 Kms, 3 hours drive). After breakfast, Drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. Enjoy the 360 degree view of the Himalayas at Dochula pass followed by visit to Chimi lhakhang the fertility monastery. After lunch visit Punakha Dzong one of the most beautiful fortress located between two rivers. Over night in Hotel.

Day 10. Wangdi Phodrang - Thimphu – Paro

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu. Lunch in Thimphu. After lunch, drive to Paro. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Early morning hike the most spectacular Tiger nest monastery perched at 900m above the paro valley. The monastery is the most iconic place in Bhutan. After lunch explore the paro town and you may want to purchase some sovenier to take home. Over night at Hotel.
